Hi

I am thinking about starting a collection of interesting nesting containers, mostly for my own entertainment but also to give the birds some interest and variety. So far I only have boring wicker and coconut shells, but would love to get some really cute decorative nestboxes, e.g. those that look like little houses, shoes, fancy gourds, etc. Has anyone come across a supplier of just things, or neat ideas, suitable for finches?

Thanks :)

Hi Finchy, saw a novel idea a few years back,a women had nailed straw hats on to the back wall and simply cut a hole in the top of it ,the finches loved them ,see you garyh.

These guys sell some wierd stuff - bit pricey but nothing stopping you from copying them. http://www.duncraft.com/index/page/cate ... rd+Houses/
Also try the larger garden centres that have those gift shops attached.

Can't remember where it was, but saw someone had a row of old metal teapots, empty pot plants and the like hanging up and being used. I think they had Zebs and Bengos. But other birds may also be into the unusual.
