Always good to get the whole family into bird keeping. My folks got it right but hubby seems to prefer sheds and tools to birds.
And the "I should have as much room for my avairys as you have for your shed" argument is not working. (5m x 15m)

I've been nagging him for over 30years now and it has only got me from 1 to 4 avairys. At the rate of 1 every 10 years that is hard work.

Went to Bunnings today bought some timber and aviary mesh. We got 3/4 of the frame up and probably going to put the mesh on very soon, which means more birds very soon

Frame finished, front mesh up. Still got to do the doors and the back of the aviary.

Just a titbit of advice about the new aviary as I know that you are only a young fella and may not be aware. If that mesh that you have added to the new aviary is new and has not been in the weather before make sure you scrub it with a mixture of water and vinegar to remove any of the lose pieces of zinc from it. Make sure you do it before you add your birds otherwise you could end up with a lot of dead birds that have picked the wire and swallowed some of this lose material. It will kill them very quickly
