Hello everyone,
I am Jelmer from The Netherlands. I am writing an extensive book about all the estrildid finches of the world and also the parasiting whydahs (vidua), mutations, subspecies, hybrids, and juveniles. I have collected about 1500 images so far but still a lot of mutations and also still some (sub)species are missing to complete my book who will be first in English and Dutch available. When you have nice images of mutations, (sub)species of estrildid finches, hybrids or images of chicks/juveniles, I would like to hear from you. I acknowledge all the photographers in my book. The book will have approximaly 500 pages. For example, I am looking for the subspecies of the crimson finch. the white-eared masked finch, yellow-rumped mannikin, diggles finch, etc. Also the munias, mannikins, firefinches, parrotfinches, java sparrows, quail finches, etc. I hope I get a lot of response. I have been helped already by a lot of people from Australia. They advised me to join this forum.
I am a breeder of estrildid finches myself. I have now blackcheek eumos and blackcheek blackface zebra finches. I have 48 breeding cages in my home.
Kind regards,
Jelmer
