ASDP avairy re-mesh and Sand Country Update on aviary

The sand coutry habitat this week at the park was looking amazing . Thought id share a few pics of an aviary project we have on the go, its been re-meshed in 6mm stainless mesh.

Its stainless and yes it did. Its for small birds, chats,Wrens,Sitellas, Black Honeyeaters ect.

As with all the Parks exhibits it will be planted out to mimic a particular habitat (woodland , with the use of Gidgee or Acacias for this aviary) The birds will be those found in that habitat.
Its nice to work there and see the team re-create a particular environment. Come see Jay, you must nearly be work experience age ?
The footings are quite deep, if we see sign of intruders we`ll lay mesh underground (vertically) on the outside. Perenti`s are the main concern but they are still hiding at the moment.We have a couple of beauties that are resident in the core area.
