Its been a while since I spammed this section so I thought I'd upload a few of my more recent images of my Chocolate Self Bengalese.

They are so like the Spice Finch..(see the photo of my male). I must say I am a fan of the 'boring' munias markings

Unfortunately the "Boring Brown Jobs" popularity are more driven by price than appeal in a lot of cases, which is how we almost lost the African Silverbill in AU.

Your Spice Finch is a nice specimen Jnorriss
I love Munias too.
Its so depressing that Munias are such an under rated species they are peaceful, easy to breed and all the munias have nice markings.

I love these guys.
Put 2 pair of Choc pieds with good striations down to try to increase my numbers of them. The CP x CP pair has produced 2 fawn and 1 choc. Know 1 parent was split now I know the other is too. (got the choc parents of the other
from someone else) The Choc x Chestnut pair has produced 1 Chestnut. (the Chestnut cock is still a bit young was the last of my chicks from the previous breedings) But 3 choc parents and only 1 choc chick? The joys of mutations.

I cracked out my Beer Carton Photo Box again the other day. Here is a picture of one of my other Chocolate Selfs. He shows nice Ginger colourings as well where sometimes that can be more washed out on some. The late Mark Shipway from Queensland used to say that the best Chocolates display the most amount Ginger, Brown and Black elements as possible.
Cheers
