zebras are one of the easiest finches to breed, if not the easiest. so long as there is a plentiful supply of seed and somewhere to build the nest then it wont be long before they have a clutch of young. some coconut fibre and a few feathers for nesting materials.
here is a link to a site about zebras

Put zebras in cage...
Provide nestbox and loads of grub...
One year later build huge aviary for the dozens of young 'uns...
Seriously though Dean...Zebras are a pleasure to breed,it's usually very simple. If only some of the other species were so easy to breed.
There's plenty of info on the net re breeding zebras...read as much as you can. Any problems let us know on here.
Don't forget you will eventually need extra cage space if you raise chicks.
Fill out your profile mate...so we know where you're from.
Mornin' Mick....you just beat me to it

personally I would try to avoid buying birds from a pet shop, but here are some links that may help you.
I would try , the queensland finch society. getting the birds from a breeder would be safer than a shop. you would be able to find out the age and sex of them and also learn a little about the birds background.

another place to try is
http://www.petlink.com.au/Birds/Adverti ... index.html
it is a reputable site which lists birds for sale and wanted.
following are links to pet shops that members of another forum recommended
