Howdy finch forum'ers. Can someone in South Australia help me out? Where can we get Greens n grains or a similar product in SA? I beleive that another SA member was getting it sent down from Qld, but just wondered about the availability locally. Thanks

Hi Mr Fox,

Here in Melbourne we have shipped it down from Queensland from Australian Wildlife Supplies. You will find them on the net and the owner Sarina provides a great service.

Cheers

I was given some G&G to try by Romanus a while ago and the birds loved it. I was going to get some sent down but life got in the way as usual.

I have been told that SA Birds are selling their own kind of mix.

I have met someone just recently who said they were trying to get a group together to order a large amount of G&G. I asked to be added to the group, but haven't heard anything since.

If anyone is getting a group together I would be interested.

Thankyou Bluebutterfly. Yes, Romanus is the man I spoke of. The results he gets from feeding 'GnG' speaks for itself! I read Deegs posting on the local SA bird co. product and will try and see what he thinks of it. But from the information you have given me, it looks like the Queenslanders can't be beaten.

Elenbee seeds in Sydney make their own Greens n Grains & according to Marcus Pollard's trials this product is very clean & free of the husks found in some greens n Grains mixes. It is also well accepted by even the fussiest waxbills & pytilias & can be used dried or sprouted.

Agree with Myzo. Elenbee's Greens 'N' Grains is excellent and will remain part of my bird's diet for as long as they produce it. Every species I keep loves the stuff!
I can't comment on other G'N'G variants.

Hi Mr Fox and Blue Butterfly I'm down to my last kilo and going to order again quite soon, if you're interested in a bulk order then let me know and ill do the ground work. PM me if you're interested. I havent checked out the SA Bird Company Product but may give it a try and let you know. Cheers Romanus.
P.S. All my birds go nuts for this stuff.
