I'm doing mine too 
Taking all the birds out, and cleaning everything. Walls, perches, roof, floor the lot. Also replacing all the brush, renovating feed stations, planting some grasses and basically revamping the whole thing

Hmm, depends on species.
My gouldians have eggs, but I'm not worried about removing them because they sit very tight - have to prod them off the nest to see the eggs (and they don't even leave the nest box when I take it down) so I think they should be fine in a different location.
