Hello to the Vics!

Myself and Kylie are coming for a visit in January and are wanting to put the feelers out early as to who we might possibly be able to visit in our short stay of 5 days..

As long as our flight times don't change (since they already have and we only purchased the tickets 6 weeks ago), we should be arriving in Melbourne about lunch time on Wednesday 16 January and leaving in the evening of Monday 21 January..

We'll be staying most of the time up north of the city in Craigieburn, but will hopefully have a car at some points to use to get around in (as the in-laws will probably be pretty busy with work).

If anyone would be happy to offer an aviary visit and is not way too far away, we'd love to try to arrange something! :)

Look forward to hearing from our friendly Victorians ;D Hehehe

You're welcome to pop in to my place....

But do you mean "nearby" in WA terms or Perth terms  ?

How do you tell an outback local from a tourist? The local measures distance in hours not kilometres  .

We 're about an hour away but only half a dozen traffic lights if you're happy to use the tollways to get to SE suburbs and you don't try it in peak hour.

I know what you mean. When we are in a city or town hubby grumbles that anything over 15kms away is a long drive. (Yes this place isn't that big.) But when we travel between towns anything under 2hrs is a short drive??

Hey! :D

It will all depend on which way people are and how many days we spend going around looking at aviaries!! At this point, it looks like we might do a bit of a day trip with Kylie's parents (most likely a weekend day) and visit Mr E Orix :)
But if we find we have a car at our disposal, we may be eable to fit even more in on another day etc :)

Please feel free to PM us with the area you're in so we can possibly work something out!! :)

Cheers
