I was intending to take my nest boxes out of my aviary a few weeks ago , but some zebs were breeding so I decided to leave them in a bit longer.
I have now noticed 2 pair of gouldians have started sitting, it seems very late in the year for this to happen and am now wondering if I should remove the nest boxes or just wait for nature to take it's course and see what happens.

At the moment I still have 2 pair of gouldians with 10 day and 15 day old babies. This will be their last clutch. If I hadnt separated another pair after their third clutch I think they would have continued.

Yeah let nature take its course. You may find that they wont fully colour up this year though.

My gouldians are also still breeding. :? I am in Brisbane and have put it down to the very warm weather.
The gouldians have breed like crazy this year, my two pair have had 18 babies between them. I was going to take the nest boxes out last weekend (about one week after the last lot had fledged ) but they are already laying again so desided to let them go and see what happens. i will have to be quicker after this lot.
