After having no luck buying a gouldian hen on the forum or at the Aviculture sale I had to go To Birdworld for some seed today so thought I'd just check out theirs, even though I knew they wouldn't sell just one bird. Couldn't believe it.. they had 1 pair of yellows and a single male BH normal plus 3 split for blues making a grand total of 6 gouldians in the whole shop!! I know everyone is busy pairing up for the breeding season but is this normal for this time of year?

They had a few more pairs of yellows yesterday when I had a look, they and afew others dont buy them if its to cold and wet , but its not really been neither.
I havnt bred many this year from 3 pairs I have about 18 young , I was going to offer you or bush ranger a loner female as I am getting out of them but one of the pairs has nested again in an old redface nest.... the buggers so I dont know who the parenst are till I can sit long enough to watch.....pete
