I'm wondering what parrots I can house with my finches (going to be 2 pairs of stars in a 2.5 m wide 2.5 m high and 2 m deep aviary), I know you can house Bourkes with them is there any thing else?
Cheers, Mike

Scarlet Chested Parrots and Bourkes go well but they are chewers so a planted aviary will get slowly chewed to bits .

Do they eat the same seed as finches? or should I buy some budgie mix and put some sunflower seeds in?

Im actually doing reverse to your idea . I feed small parrot mix and the finches pick out the small seed , they are thriving and breeding eating the same greens , fruit , thistles etc as the parrots they live with .

I disagree with the Turks and Elegants , both are horrible at breeding time .

We have both Turks and Elegants with finches at work, no problems so far.... Maybe it's just our birds :P
