Looking at going to the Bird Sale as well.

Probably best to ask Kevin about accomadation, I'm staying with relatives at Dora Creek.
Morrisett isn't very far from the open day so might be a good place to stay or Singleton for the bird sale, which is probably about 2 hours drive from the open day.
Cheers

If your going to the bird sale then Singleton would be the best place to stay but there is accommodation at few towns before then....Branxton, Greta, Lochinvar...these are small towns but would have a motel or hotel.
There is usually something organised at Singleton for those that go to the STGF open day then the bird sale....dinner or BBQ and guest speakers....often Mike Fidler ...Ill find out and post it.
The aviary visits and the bird sale are organised by the Hunter branch of the Finch Society of Australia....the hunter branch also supplies the volunteers for the STGF day....cooking, guiding and car park duties...the aviary visits would be by bus leaving from singleton on Mon
cheers fellas...look me up if you make it..ill be at both.....not sure about the aviary visits but id like to go there too
