when is it safe to take fleglings away from parents they are out of the nest one week.

I always wait until i see them eating and drinking.
And wait for there beaks to go orange,i find it better to wait a bit longer than rush moving them.

I Take chicks out after 4 weeks from first day of fledging :thumbup:

Zebras i leave until the beaks is almost fully red like parents, plus they will learn a few things from the parents.
Breeding Show Zebra Finches, Blue Gouldians, Pied Orange Breast.

Can a whole family of zebs, Mum, dad & 5 fledglings (12 to 16 days out) b moved out to a bigger aviary?

That should be ok- zebs reach nutritional independence at 25-30 days old, and I separate mine from parents at about 32 days old (though they do go into a holding cage with sibs til they have adult colours, and then I put them into a large flight aviary).
You might want to wait an extra week to be on the safe side.
