Just wondernig if my yellow stars hold some kind of record for the number of young ones. Every day I check there seems to be one more but I think they have now stopped coming out of the nest and their is 7 of the little ones. The good news is the pair that had these young are now building a new nest and all seven babies are surviving.

I'm jealous. I only ever get two over here. I like to think that it's because the birds are so inbred but I don't go out of my way to give much live food (just a fruit-fly trap burried in the soil) and I'm sure that is a limiting factor although back in Australia I did better and didn't give live food at all.
