I have tried chick stater they peck it a few times in one day now they stay well clear. Maybe its yuk. But I must say they tried it more than finch crumbles.

It is trial and error . With my parrots I have more success with the fruit flavoured pellets than the bland unflavoured types.
Accept that some days you are the pigeon, and some days you are the statue.
