Holy shite Pete,
thats one hell of a dugite. I have been getting more mice lately too, so now I'm packing my daks as well. I just buried more very fine netting around the perimeter and am putting an extension on. A mate said a dugite scooted across his path on the way down to the beach at secret harbour on Sunday. So they must be out and about now.....
Can you get someone to track it down and relocate it....preferably a long way away.

that's a lucky snake, lucky it is in your aviary not mine.
would have a very short life span around here.
Thought the only place where killing a snake was illegal was in the zoo

g'day Mick, unless your experienced and have lightning fast reactions I would not attemtp to peve off a brown in a confined space. An angry brown in a confined sapce is akin to putting some lightening in a small box that it cant get out of, ie it will strike everywhere until it gets out. I hope your agile, your gunna need it. Alternatively you could seal up the hole but before you do that get a few phostoxin (Phosphine gas) tablets and place them in the hole. Even placing water down the hole while you prevent it getting out might be a better option if you cant get someone to remove it for you.
Let us know how you go, actually let us know when your going in and make sure you set up the cam corder.
Cheers
