I had a good day. Set up all my breeding pairs and rebrushed the aviaries. Kids were used for slave labour shifting dirt for new aviaries. About time they were good for something.

Thanks Diane.....I was in Sydney (hell hole) taking the g/kids to Featherdale Wildlife Park.....thats a worthwhile place to visit....they have some really good birds and aviaries. I got a GPS for the car so at least I knew where I was going..otherwise Id be a nervous wreck.....they are a bloody marvellous invention.
Tried to get to some bird dealers......some of these blokes are going to get a rude shock when the new regulations come in regarding cage size....anyway...no birds for me...maybe next time
Cheers

New regulations for aviary sizes? Did I miss something? Or is it only in some states?

Hi finchbreeder
as far as i know its nsw...there will be restrictions on the number of birds kept in a certain size cage......might make it very hard for bird sales ...im not too certain of details but i believe the legislation is on the DPI website (not game to look just yet)
Apparently they have enlisted the RSPCA to police the rules
