Hi Greg,

The moulting Aid does not promote a moult, it merely provides nutritional supplementation to aid in new feather growth- mainly amino acids & trace elements if I remember correctly.

It has no direct effect on the hormones involved in moulting.

Thanks Myzo for clearing that up. So unless the birds are undergoing a moult then giving the moult aid supplement is a waste of money.

If you are already supplementing the diet then the answer is yes.
If you feed a seed diet with occasional greens only then any supplement will be of some benefit, even moulting aid.
However, I would expect that most people on this forum would feed their birds better than just a bowl of dry seed and occasional greens.
