The sale is at the Mudgeeraba Show Grounds on the 21st October as mentioned and is open from 10.00am to 01.00pm . The showgrounds are very close to and between the Worongary and Robina (Skilled Park for NRL Fans) exits of the Pacific Highway. It is run by the Gold Coast Aviary Bird Association and if the usual suspects are there there should be a good selection of finches.

You might also consider joining a local bird club and getting to know other keepers & breeders in your town. The South East Ipswich Cage Bird Society has an open show on October 21 (details on the site). Don't forget that if you're going instead to the Gold Coast Aviary Bird Association Sale on that day that many of the Aussie birds require a licence so be prepared to show yours.

Mudgereeba is listed as Sunday 28 October 2012.- Main Pavillion; Mudgeeraba Showgrounds; Mudgeeraba Rd; Mudgeeraba. 10 am-1pm; Entry fee $2

Beaudesert is on Sunday Nov 11 2012.- Beaudesert Showgrounds; Albert Street; Beaudesert; 9am-1pm; Entry fee $2; Children under 14 free.

Beenleigh Bird Sale says Sunday 23 October 2012 but the Sunday is actually the 21 October so I would call the organisers to find out what's going on: ph Alan 07 3208 6948 or 0422405397.

Between these 3 sales you should see plenty of nice birds.

Good luck
