As soon as I bought the new hand rearing formula it started going weak, maybe something in the food? problem is the packaging doesn't have the ingredients on there.
Birds I own/have owned: Budgerigars, **Zebra Finches**, **Star Finches**, Canaries, Diamond doves... Rocky the Galah! & Cocky the Sulphur Crested 'too

Weetbix will not be a balanced diet in the long term. Any good quality parrot hand rearing mix will be a major improvement (roudybush, vetafarm).

Yeah I bought VetaFarm Budgie, canary and finch hand rearing formula.
Birds I own/have owned: Budgerigars, **Zebra Finches**, **Star Finches**, Canaries, Diamond doves... Rocky the Galah! & Cocky the Sulphur Crested 'too

I've used warm porridge on bigger birds. Arnotts arrow..?... crushed finely also. Warmth needed.

I'm sorry to hear that, what a shame :( I've had the same thing happen to me, where the chick was fine for a few days, then suddenly had seizures and died.

At least it's given you experience, so if this happens again then you'll know what to do.

Very sorry to hear the little bird died. Having been there I know how emotional it gets having such a small thing dependent on you and the satisfaction of being successful so feel for you. As Niki-J says you can draw some comfort from the fact you now have valuable experience for the next time.
