Hi

I've noticed that Zebra Finches love incorporating chicken feathers into their nests, but Gouldians ignore feathers. In your experience, which other finch species do and don't like to use feathers for nest building?

:)

Most of my finches have, the species you can see in my signature.
Gouldians are natural hollow nesters, so I don't imagine they would need to be adding feathers to their nests in the wild for warmth or anything.
My gouldians added a total of one half emu feather to their box.

My bengos use feathers. Actually they use pretty much anything they can find!

My tri colour parrot finches built a nest almost solo out of emu feathers. It was the soze of a rugby ball. the only other material used was course grass to hold the structure
