Can two pair of Auroras be housed together happily?
They are in a 5x8m outdoor aviary with a bunch of other Africans.
They have gone to nest, and the cocks have started arguing a bit.
Thanks in advance for thoughts,
mm.

In my experience I have done far better one pair to an aviary.
Last season I put 3 pair in my big flight with zerro results after about 3 months.
Removed them and paired them up one pair to an aviary and 2 of the pairs went to nest quickly and produced chicks.
They weren't overly agressive to each other but faced each other off though.
Thanks, E. O.
I'm pretty sure they've both gone to nest, but would be hard pressed to say who belongs to which pair.
I'll just watch them for now.
One of the hens has lost the feathers at the back of her neck and they are lining up at the termite bowl twice daily, so it looks like there is some action.

They are usually willing to take termtes even without young to feed. Never housed more than 1pr per aviary but very placid to other species in mixed company.
