I'm thinking of heading up to Singleton sale for a sticky and to meet up with a couple of breeders to collect birds. However, birds can't be carried from Newcastle to Melbourne on Jetstar so I'd need to arrive on Saturday night in Sydney, hire a car to drive up and stay nearby to sale and stay again Sun night before loading myself and birds on a plane Monday sometime as I can't get birds on a plane before Melbourne AAE office closes at 3pm on Sunday.
Somewhere safe to keep the birds overnight on Sunday will be needed too of course, ideally with the ability to have a secure area to transfer them into a single carry cage for the actual flight if that hasn't happened at the sale.
If I'm not asking too much and you think you can help let me know ASAP.
Thanks....

Gees Natamambo, you can afford a plane flight and hire a car but you can't afford a motel,i'm staying in a motel Saturday and Sunday night and i could change the room for a 3 bed one if you wish as it would bring the price down further,so long as you don't snore.

Flight was basically free, Frequent Flyer points, hire car was to be birthday money paying for a buzz box through wife's work discount and birds not happening now, Call it a perfect storm, might have justified trip if all had come together but I'll use the birthday money towards other things and the points will come in handy some other time. Thanks for the offer though Craig. Enjoy.

Natnambo,
I'm a bit disappointed that you cannot make Singleton....As has been mentioned before in the post; there was (is) accommodation open to you...and if one had enough frequent flyer points.....why not!
My thoughts are that someone who is so prepared & forceful in offering great thoughts & experience on this forum would jump at the chance to see their peers....

Rip, I've only just seen your post. As it happened, things changed very quickly that week and it turned out I needed to be in Melbourne on the Saturday to collect my honeyeaters from the airport as I had no other safe storage and transport options had I collected them from Singleton myself.
