Is lacewing a form of opaline?

The opaline-ino produced by recombination becomes its own sex-linked mutation.
There are other names given to this in the past eg red eastern.
Is the grizzle zebra finch this kindof mutation or different?

Pearl longtail is autosomal recessive. I don't believe it is a "true" opaline (given our other conversations regarding naming conventions and inheritance patterns). The head is lighter but the pearling is not on the back but the wing and on the wing it is not a reversal of colour (as there is no black banding to reverse), it is white "trim" on the edges of the feathers and not very pronounced, you have to get up close to see the edges. Others may be able to but at the moment I can't think of any equivalent mutation in other birds. Unfortunately the bird in the photo, imported from NSW, didn't survive the winter.

As Opaline is the removal of colour from the head and back of neck and lacewing is a particular form of wing marking I do not believe so. Though they are both a sex linked mutation. So could be relavent to the other thread on crossover sex linked mutations.
