Most uncomfortable looking nests Ive seen, bark, sticks and stones seem to be their preference, nothing soft like the ruddies nests, they overflow with feathers.

BUT I gotta admit these emblemas really do act like stoners at times as for nest material there is a method to the madness ...the charcoal is essentail for emblemas as they use it to keep the nest free of smells and other nasties and the rough texture of the shells could be a replacement for there preferred swamp grass which is quite rough .
Mine was busily chasing the O/Breasts till I put the doublebars in , now he has met his match and settled down a bit
