Did the breeder have post mortem examinations performed on any of the dead birds?
It seems a little strange to me to lose that many birds and keep your head buried in the sand hoping it just goes away.

no, he believes when a bird dies and you pay for a postmortem they take your money and dont actual;ly look at the bird lol they do charge over the top for one though.
ive been treating him with the other birds with baycox, they are on day two now and tomorrow will be their last day of treatment. not sure how long to wait before i can start a treament of baytril. kastnight he spent 4 hours in the seed dish nonstop eating and tonight he doing the same as i am typing this. he also keeps making a squeeking noise like someone scuffing their shoes on a slippery floor. all the other birds are sleeping but this bird is pecking around in the food dish in the dark. im wondering if he has an infection in his stomache? maybe eating a lot helps the pain a bit like rubbing a sore? im only guessing and to be honist i really dont know. he doesnt seem close to death or anything. when the other birds come down to feed in the day he will go and join them but when they fly off he stops eating its weird.
