Well had my yearly trip up to dads to sort out all his birds.
Kept, 6pairs Yellow-faced Stars, 5pairs Red Painteds, 30pairs Gouldians Normal pairs, Split Blue pairs, YH-WB pairs.
3pairs Opal Zebras, 5pairs Cream-backed Zebras, 5pairs Red Breasted Fawn Zebras, 2pairs Singers. Alot of time i spent on this shifting birds around so up early before the Heat set in 43 on the Friday was the hottest day.
Then yesterday (saturday) spent nearly 3hrs at a friend of dads with Gouldians and sorted out 5 aviaries of Gouldians with 5 aviaries now holding 4pairs of Gouldians in each Head Colour and a holding aviary holding about 60 plus young Gouldians.

My trip home today i seen plenty of Blue Bonnets, Red Rumps and seen Mallee Ringnecks between Red Cliffs and Ouyen 4 pairs of these on the road side and they were in pairs i guess as always only 2 together.

And back home to find only 1 casualty out of all my birds while i was away.
Breeding Show Zebra Finches, Blue Gouldians, Pied Orange Breast.

So if anyone in the Mildura area is looking to buy Gouldians etc. they should PM you and you can send them to the right place.
It's good to share an addiction with a parent isn't it?

Yes your right finchbreeder. Dad bred Canaries in Sydney before we moved to Melbourne in 1982. I was the only one out of 3 kids that took the interest up. Now with 2 of my own i hope at least 1 will carry it on as well. The little fella thats about to turn 2 was not so sure on rubbing the heads of the finches but has slowly come around the last couple of months to just touch the head feathers. Always funny to watch kids with birds. :)

It was a worth while trip cousin birds birds and more birds. If anyone is thinking vettepilot_6 and i recently found out some time in the end of the year that we are related. So it is a small world and you never know who you will meet.

I'm the one of 5 that followed the parental bird addiction. So far neither of my two are showing appropriate interest and they are both old enough to vote. But they may come round in 5 or 10 years when settled down. As for finding relos. Have a saying here "If you have been in G*******n 50 years or longer and we are not related go check your family tree you dill"
