Zebs are generally ok with you putting their young back in their nest.

With Zebs I would because they are not easily put off by nest disturbance as some other finches are.

ok thanks guys theres two now, there not from the nest I thought and I've got no idea where they came from
They're mostly feathered but can't quite fly so should I leave them in there tonight?

If it is cold and wet and you have Zebs with similar size young you can get away with one or two extra in a nest. They can't count but do know the differnce between a few and lots. But in fine weather just put a perch a little above the ground to encourage the fledglings off the ground.
