Heat Wave

Lots and lots of bubbas not quite making it in the great outdoors after fledging too early .
I have a Red Rump here that was begging at the aviaries to be adopted and fed ...Doing well on formula .
Lots Galah babies being parked in our front tree for hours on end by the parents ..amazing that they stay there while the parents go off for food and water .

No where near your heat but certainly is affecting wildlife everywhere .

We broke another little record , 17 consecutive days over 40 deg with 11 consecutive of those days being over 42 degrees. Our local weather station had the 10th,11th ,12th,13th of January over 45 deg and the 11th was 49.7 .
Believe it or not i`ve still heard young zebs around the place being fed (wild ones ). Apparently wildcare has been inundated with chicks of various species that have fledged prematurely though.

Commiserations to you DB,i don't know how you put up with it as i'd begone long ago or do what us Vics do,head North in winter and back home in summer but in saying that its getting to the stage where there's no where to hide. Craig
