I'm seriously thinking of going to Orange this year - never been before. How many other AFFers go? How big is it? I was thinking of taking say 40 finches in the $40-$100 pair range - am I likely to sell the lot?

Hi Sam,i've been to a couple,a bit quishy and one sided but the finches that are taken to sell go quite quick and at reasonable prices. Not going this year, thinking of doing the count again. Sam the new venue is huge , it’s a four court basket ball stadium , plenty of room ! I have been the last two years an sold most birds in that price range . I don’t think I’ll be going this year . not keen on the five hour drive .
Work smarter not harder !

Accept that some days you are the pigeon, and some days you are the statue.

Hi Deb,
Sellers DON'T need to book tables - you can just turn up and the day and bench your birds like always.
Sellers CAN reserve a table if they wish (that means they can arrive at 9am Saturday morning and have a reserved table).
Reserved tables are $10 each (plus you still pay your normal bird entry fees).
Note: There are only about 15 reserved tables left so if you want one book quickly - I haven't mentioned this anywhere else - an AFF special tip ;)

Thanks for the info everyone.
I guess the reserved tables would suit many of the parrot guys with much larger cages. From what everyone says it sounds like there'll be plenty of space for my little finch stuff without the need to book a table.
However I will book for the dinner as soon as I determine how many others are tagging along with me. Ray - Do we need to book for the afternoon aviary tour or just follow along?
Looking forward to meeting many AFFers in person for the first time - jusdeb especially!
