One of my female gouldian lower beak keeps growing.
I have trimmed the beak back three times already in six months.
How do I stop the beak from growing for good? Dizzy

One option immediately comes to mind but I suspect it's not an option you'll like. :problem: :silent:

I believe it's a virus that causes it and can't be cured,Sam's idea may be the best cure. Craig

I always thought it was liver problem that causes it. It is curable, I had birds recover completely. I am not a Vet so the only think I can suggest is make sure the water is always clean offer plenty of green seeding grasses and other leafy greens. If you can collect some Milk Thistle seeds, Goldfinches and Siskins can't get enough of them. Other birds like Parrot Finches will also quickly learn to eat them. I don't think there is a medicine available to treat this but I might be wrong, just to be sure call an avian Vet and ask if there's anything available. The first thing I would do is trim the beak so it looks normal and that the bird can eat.
