At a guess they are Musk Lorikeets

I think the bottom one is a Musk Lorikeet. They will certainly eat the pears.

I can't see the birds in the top photo clearly.

They will also eat Golden Delicious apples - both red and green, as well as several different varieties of plum, peach and apricot. We get that many in our garden now we have to cover the trees so we can get some fruit!

Definatly musk, we have heaps in the flowering gums along with rainbow, scaly, little, and purple crowned.
