Hi which kinds of foods would be best to give zebras when they are breeding i want them to be on a good diet so no egg bound happens

A finch seed mixture...fresh hard boiled eggs grated mixed 50/50 with a commercial dried eggfood.Don't let it go stale if it's hot there...little and often.
Supply grated cuttlefish bone,oystershell...and the egg shells you have left over...microwave two minutes on full...crush 'em and mix the lot.Plenty of calcium there for the birds.
Don't overdue the greenfood...couple of times a week.They may go for apple...or not.
Give you a tip with zebras...don't give 'em too much nesting material...The cocks have a habit of building a new nest on top of the eggs....over and over.You can finish up with an egg sandwich

Dean, egg binding is not a common occurence. the post in which I mentioned it was the first time it has happened to one of my birds in all the years I have had finches.
