I keep Gouldians and Zebs together, but always with The Gouldians in the majority. And have had no major problems.

We have had the same reluctance with a new feeder.

Giving them a few more days to adjust and we believe all will be okay.

More dead babies. I guess you can't change things like the feeder when the birds are due to hatch - a lesson for the future. Standardising the type of feeder so that birds become habituated to them gives you the flexibility to move birds with impunity. Amongst these birds were a pair that had hatchlings when they were moved aviary and all from a nearby suburb about 6 weeks ago. That nest amazingly survived but everything was put back exactly how it was at my site.
