Stars sitting

Checked on my stars nest the other day as they seemed to be sitting for ages.
On inspection I saw two hatchlings around 1 week old.
Is it normal for stars to keep sitting for weeks after chicks hatch?

Anyway is it normal for stars to sit past hatching of chicks.
Noticed 2 chicks approx 2weeks old in the nest and parents still sitting tight?

Yes Stars will sit on there chicks after hatching usually the 1st week and some stars sit on there chicks for the 2nd week but most Stars usually don't tolerate nest inspections so keep to a minimum and leave them be otherwise they will stop feeding the chicks.
