Ditto the outdoor avairy and greens. Sunlight good in summer, not so in winter. As I said, maybe they overdid the looking after the young ahead of themselves.

i have a normal black headed hen that has done that for the past two years. starts off fine till after the first nest then the feathers start to go. after round 2 she has had enough -no more breeding and after the moult good again
