I have noticed a fledgling painted that has quite bright white feathers on the wings. Is there such thing as a pied mutation in Painteds or have I got a nutritional definciency issue? This is the only painted I have displaying this...comments? Ill try and get a pic if I can catch it or get close enough.

These 6 young fledged from the same nest and the one on the far right had 10 primary flights on each wing, but they moulted out on the first moult.

Only time can be 100% accurate about what will happen. But I have not heard of pied painteds. But then there was a time when no one had heard of pied Ruddys.
