I hope he goes back to photograpy. Cause that is fantastic, and if he has learnt to read the bird then he can do it again. And bipolar people are best off with a destress subject to go to when the going gets tough.

I met a single gentleman like that on my recent trip.He was about 60 and could not work due to a disorder.He said bird watching and photography are his way of soothing his illness.
