apparently finches just aren't sexy enough. . . . . . . hate these diet fads. Now all the trendys will have spouted seed with their wheat germ shots

our (human) digestive system was designed to eat raw foods
I am not convinced that it is evolved to eat sprouted seed though !
Perhaps a bit of sprouted seed here and there, but I don't think it made up a large part of primitive mans diet.

Still, its great for finches
