I think the weather has finally taken its toll.

The orangebreasts had one baby, hatched yesterday but I noticed last night they seemed to be in and out of other nesting sites, so I was expecting the worst.
This morning there was one dead baby out of the nest and one clear egg left.
So I have tidied up that nest and will wait and see what happens now.
The only benefit I can see at the moment is that I know I have a proven pair....well, a half proven pair.
My definition of a proven pair is that they can have and raise their babies

The ruddies eggs are all clear too, that I was sort of expecting.

No but from reading others posts it can make the birds desert the nest or chicks.
Clear eggs are when the eggs have not been fertilized.

The reason I was expecting clear eggs is that this particular pair of birds dont seem to have got their act together yet, only had one baby out of three clutches.
