perches in a box type display cage will be used by birds as stress relief, a box type display cage with no perches you will observe that birds will all huddle in a corner for safety and combat stress, now to these new unholy things,
Tom hit the nail partly on the head, birds in these type of display cages have nowhere to go, to get a good look at the exhibit, birds can only be viewed from above, which must scare them schmitt less, simply because a lot of preditors attack from above which in return must make them feel very tense, uneasy and very nervous and on guard all the time, stress, stress and more stress, ban the ruddy things, you are doing your birds no favor

Hang on,
Where do the birds go in a 15cm wide show box?
These have custom made perches, giving the birds somewhere to go.
In europe they were designed as the best possible show box. And in europe the showing of birds in general (from humming birds to parrots) is very important; so theres no way something like this would still be allowed if it caused havoc. Not only is this reccomended by birdkeepers but its the ONLY ONE APPROVED in europe for the showing of birds.
In regards to the price, i look at it like this: a pr of diamonds cost $80-$100 in ACT, the birds must be fed. And the birds will die after 5 or so years (if ur lucky). The 2pt show box is $65. Is safe, drastically reduces the stress placed on the birds (giving them a better chance of survival) we dont have to feed the carrybox. And it will last over 20 years. As E Orix prebiously stated 'the carrybox is an important thing' and can alter your birds life. Now why arent we willing to spend that littl bit more for a safe, strong, stress reducing, innovative, long lasting, easy cleaning carrybox, that will forever be a key thing to birdkeepers.
