Hopefully those of you that live in Brisbane or have a knowledge of the city can help.
For delegates arriving at the Brisbane airport how easy is it to get to the Women's College and the Uni?
Which bus, train, tram, city cat, do they need to catch? How long will the journey take?
If travelling by taxi how much would the cost be roughly?

My wife works at the University and she mentioned that the cab fare is about $70. If you're after public transport there is a train-bus option that can be found on the Translink website. The cost for that journey is $22.56 (odd calculation but that's what comes up and you will have to purchase the GoCard before you travel at the newsagent in the airport terminal. Journey time is listed as one hour. Hope that helps

There should be quite a number of delegates at the airport wanting to share transport.
What we should do close to the time is try and find out arrival times, so people can meet at the airport
then travel together.
At this stage I have no idea of flights but I guess when the real specials come up you don't have too much time
to grab them.
While on airfares, for those that do not fly often Jetstar/Qantas have some very very cheap internet fares, most are posted on
a Friday. You book well in advance and if you are lucky some of the fares are so very cheap.
You can register with Jetstar and get auto emails of offers sent to you from memory. Jetstar are not a 5 star carrier but the flights
are short and the savings are generally very good.
