Sounds like you need to be very organised. Build an avairy a fortnight, and a prebuilt one as a Chrissie present.

Well after some negotiations I have a starting point.
I am setting up a 1.5m X 2.3m prefab aviary to at least take back all my Bengalese Stock. I'll be running this with cages across the back for breeding and the rest of the stock will run in the aviary. This will help to keep me happy until I we decide as a family where the larger set-up will go (this still wont be that big, I suspect around 2.5 X 3-5m). I completed the base for it this week and the aviary will be delivered on Monday. So by the end of the week I may even be a birdkeeper again!!! Please see some initial images.

Thanks Craig,

Yes my plan is to simply replace all the existing 12mm mesh with 5mm and then probably paint the mesh black.

Cheers.

That's a really good move, vermin mesh is well worth the money

AB,
Any way you can incorporate a safety door on the outside? I had a colorbond similar to that and trust me, you will need a safety door.

Anyway, good luck!

Ken.

I was thinking of making a little triangular section inside at the door height that has the doorway hanging beads or the like and hopefully that will be a big improvement.
