Hi, I have just joined. Until recently I bred mainly pheasants but have now extended my interest into finches. It has been very pleasing to see the first batch of young recently fledge. Cheers, Laurie

Pheasants to finches. Bit of a contrast. But both desirable. What types do you have in both?

Hi, thank you all for your welcome. To answer your questions I keep Golden, Silver, Reeves, Swinhoe and Kalij pheasants. Hopefully will have some Amherst soon. With finches I have Gouldians, Blue face, Cordons, Jacarini, Fires, Cubans. That will do me for a while.

Are all of your pheasants and finches in seperate avairys per type? Or are some, not pheasants and finches together I am assuming, sharing avairys?

Pheasants all have their own pens. Finches are in well planted aviaries. 1 pair of Golden pheasants are in one of the finch aviaries. This aviary is about 8m x 2.1m so plenty of room. They get on OK.
