Just a quick post to say hello. I've recently started keeping finches (I kept Budgies and Cockatiels in my youth).
I have a handful of Zebra Finches, a pair of Gouldian Finches, a pair of Painted Finches, a pair of Plum-headed Finches and a pair of Green Singers. All apart from the Zebras are in an aviary (the Zebras are in two large cages). Currently looking at building another few aviaries...

Welcome to the Forum from another of the WA contingent. Building another couple of avairys is always good.
As this hobby has a tendancy to grow.

Thank-you all for the kind welcome. I have grand plans for a two section planted aviary (one section dedicated to the Zebras) with large flight area but we'll see how I go.
As a side note I am also a keen birder and keep an eye on some local wild finch populations (Red-eared Firetail and the introduced Red-browed Finch). My travels north for work have meant I have seen plenty of Zebra Finch, Star Finch and Painted Finch in the wild as well.
Cheers,
Greg
