I have used a moth trap for quite some time.
I started off just releasing the moths the next morning into the aviary only to watch a percentage fly away.
I then proceeded to put them into the refrigerator which really slowed them down on release but a percentage warmed up
before the birds had a chance to eat them and flew away.
Today I simply place the bag holding the moths and bugs into the freezer and when taken out and fed to the birds they don't fly away at all.
Infact if it is a good catch the excess is kept in an ice cream container and fed later.
My Softbills and Seedeaters eat them no problem and now at their own pace.
If you run a moth trap it may be worth consideration.
