Bird smuggling is alive and well the world over, for whatever reason - bird fighting, desirable species, new blood, you name it.

Here the link to a current court case in Belgium.
The offender is claimed to have made a profit of 800.000 Euro. or on todays exchange rate AU $1,213344.00
