I am a great believer in that wise old jungle saying . .

Hi all.
A question for those who stayed to the bitter end; What was the clearance rate for finches?

FF,
Left at midday, 2 hours was enough but noticed that the prices were dropping on all birds even after 2 hours. My take on it was all good birds had been sold in the 1st hour to astute buyers who knew what they were looking for in all categories. My mate and I must admit we saw things we liked/wanted and said to ourselves " just have a look elsewhere". Came back and the birds we wanted were gone. Anyhow to cut a long story short he finally got his red winged parrot hen after much bartering and swapping but the long tails for $40 a pair had long gone when he sent me on the quest.

All in all it was a great sale. Round trip, 6.30am leave Leichhardt and get back home 3.45pm. 540kms. First beer at the Bald Faced Stag dead on 4pm.

Great day.

Ken.

You didn't have to wait until 4. Next time I recommend a stop at Badlands brewery just out of Orange. A very nice pale ale there.
