I don't know what is in Silverbeet stalks but my birds love them,
especially the Gouldians.

In the past we have grown the rainbow chard (just silverbeet with colourful stems) and the bird love that too. It did make me wonder if the colour in the stems could/would make the birds plumage brighter.

My mother has always grown Silverbeet and fed the leaves and stalks to her Budgies and finches and parrotts. All take to it with gusto.

Try some Bok Choi, Pak Choi, Okra

Exactly Arthur- try any of the leafy greens- they all have something to offer.

I find silverbeet great,easy to grow ,birds love it ,all is good,garyh

I have found that some finches eat it and others won't....
